Direct Cinema

Hey crew,

It’s been awhile, but I just wanted to mention a new project we have going on. For the next couple weeks I will be hanging out with Andrea and Company with a video camera and try to capture some of the special moments that happen in this little house. I’ve have had a wild couple of months and haven’t been around quite so much, I realize that the best way for me to be around is to tie myself to a creative project. The photos are still happening, but I am slow and way too particular when it comes to processing, scanning, cleaning up dust and adjusting tones…so for this side project it will be a day of shooting, quick editing and there ya go…a little more dynamic, maybe lacking a bit aesthetically, but these are special moments and that’s what matters. It’s been an honor to share in all of this. So, see the above post for: Punk Rock Mommy – Part 1 …

I wanted to suggest shop rite–not sure if there is one in Fishtown but shop rite is excellent quality (tons of organic items) and a great value. I love it and even though I can afford to shop at TJs and Whole Foods I prefer SR. They also have a delivery service that is not too expensive. I am not sure why you guys don’t look into that. I think money will go a lot further if you look into SR.

Also, how are they paying for gas for the station wagon? I was wondering why they chose the station wagon from 1970 that is probably huge, a gas guzzler and not at all fuel efficient. Also older cars need more maintenance and finding parts for older cars can be costly. Did anyone look into donations–I get calls all the time about donating my car. Also PPA has auctions very often and the info is on their site.
In a time of soaring gas prices the wagon doesn’t make sense (it must be a small fortune to fill). Granted its cool and hip, more so than a minivan, but even a more modern wagon might have been a better purchase–sounds like they need something larger but reliable. please do not misunderstand my comments I am just thinking about ways to make the dollar go further but if there are a lot of monetary donations–maybe my suggestions aren’t necessary.

They have a really great website, you can make a list right on the computer from the circular. The info about delivery is there too.
